About/Bio:

Mark has been involved with US Youth Soccer for the past 17 years and has helped developed a significant number of players, teams, clubs and programs across the US during that time.

Now entering his second year with Beach FC as the South Bay Youth Director, Mark is working within the club to establish a Youth Development Program that will provide a foundation for Beach FC’s ongoing commitment to be the best youth soccer organization in the United States.

Mark was born in England. He studied Physical Education at the University of York St. John. On completing his degree, Mark worked in the education of youth players at multiple professional clubs throughout the UK, Middlesbrough, Burnley, Wigan Athletic, Darlington Town, Exeter City, Torquay United, Mansfield, Rochdale and Plymouth Argyle.

In 1999 Mark moved to the US to Coach with MLS Camps youth training programs and so began Mark’s coaching career in the US. Having coached extensively on both coasts, Mark has enjoyed a fantastic journey working with thousands of youth soccer players at all levels of the game. On moving to Los Angeles in 2004 Mark served as the District Leader for MLS Camps working closely with many MLS franchises including the LA Galaxy, San Jose Earthquakes and Real So Cal, developing and implementing their youth training programs. In 2004 Mark also joined a local south bay soccer group and played a major role in leading them from 2 teams to 45 teams over the space of ten years and they achieved great on-field success during his time with the organization as Director of Coaching.

In 2014 Mark transitioned over to Beach FC and serves as the South Bay Youth Director.

Mark currently also serves as head coach to an all refugee team called Darfur United, and has led them into training and competition in Africa, Asia and Europe.

Mark Lives in Hermosa Beach with his wife Ashley, two children Willamena and Kingston and dog Rooney!
