Beach FC GU18 Are 2016 Cal South National Cup Champions
The Girls U18 Beach FC Academy Team were crowned 2016 Cal South National Cup Champions last month after a spirited performance against a very good LA Premier team. The championship marks the third straight year the team has won National Cup. During the three year championship run, Beach FC has scored over 100 goals while conceding just four. This year’s championship will be the team’s last National Cup as the entire team will graduate high school and begin their college careers next fall. The girls believe that the sense of finality is what is motivating them to extend their final season as long as possible.
By winning National Cup, the team will compete in the USYS Far West Regionals in Boise, Idaho. Beach has an equally impressive record in that tournament, going 12-0 in two years and winning two championships

BFC G98 Rossi Wins Pats Cup Championship Final
Three great wins in opening rounds, disposing of two Pateadores teams and Slammers EGSL, set up the final on Sunday afternoon against KoldingQ, a top club team visiting from Denmark.
The final was a tough, physical, defensive game. It was nil-nil at the half, and our Beach team had withstood all that was thrown at them from the physical Danish team. Beach played stronger in the second half. From a corner, Sophia Abboud headed in a goal that broke the deadlock. The team then held on despite injuries to three players to win the championship.
A great start to the new year for our Beach FC team, scoring 17 goals and only allowing one over the four games.

State Cup — Mayor's Division
After a slow start, with an opening game 3–1 loss, the boys rallied together and really showed the desire to play for each other, the club and their coach. They stormed the remaining group games and came top, putting them in to the next round and on route to the final.
Three close and hard fought battles followed as Beach FC BU10 SB Black made it to the cup final on a windy morning in Silverlakes. The team started strong taking an early lead despite playing into gusty wind. Two lapses left them 2-1 down at the half and with lots of work to do. After some great team play they equalized and went on to dominate the second half with a 4–2 win.
Overall a well deserved moment for each and every player of what has been a great team.

State Cup — Governor's Division
In a 93-team pool, Coach Ricardo Calatroni’s GU10 team came out victorious in the Governors Division of the Cal South State Cup Tournament. The team’s defense, stellar goalkeeping, and relentless offensive attack proved to be the difference.
Through weather conditions that included cold, wind, rain, and heat, Coach Calatroni’s girls secured hard-fought victories against tough opponents. These girls were united in their effort, playing smart and aggressive soccer. Throughout the 9-game tournament, the team only gave up 3 goals, finishing with five consecutive clean sheets. The result of the championship game was a 1–0 victory against a tough La Esperanza team. This was such a sweet victory for this team of friends. Congratulations girls!
