BFC Girls U18 win second consecutive Cal South National Cup Title

Our Beach Girls U18 captured their second consecutive Cal South National Cup Title with an astonishing 7-0 win in the final on Sunday.  This was the third championship game in four seasons for Beach, who outscored it’s opposition 26-1 on it’s way to the back to back championship.  Beach has qualified for Far West Regionals for the fourth consecutive year, opting to not attend this year since they have already qualified for USYSA Nationals by virtue of their National League Championship, which will take place in Germantown, Maryland July 22-27.  Three other Beach teams are in the hunt for a championship this upcoming weekend (G16, B16, B17).  The Girls U16 have reached the semifinal round by winning the quarterfinal with a 7-1 resounding win.  They have already qualified for Far West Regionals and will be looking to reach the final for the second consecutive season.  The Boys U17 team reached the semifinal after a heart-stopping win in a penalty kick shootout, while the Boys U16 squad won convincingly 4-1 in the quarterfinals.  Best of luck to all the teams competing this weekend!  For more information including venues and times of the games, please go to www.calsouth.com.
