Born and raised in Manhattan Beach, starting in AYSO at age 7. By age 12 was playing club for the Manhattan Beach Hurricanes. Played high school soccer at Mira Costa and senior year was captain of team and voted MVP of Ocean league, armed forces player of the year.
College career consisted of playing at El Camino junior college, captain and state champions, with first team all conference honors. Tranfered to Humboldt State NCAA Div II, captain of team, first team all conference honors.
Professional career consisted of 2 years playing for the Los Angeles Heat reserves and a two year stint as a pro in Brazil playing for 1987 Brazilian national champions Sport Club of Recife reserves. Transfered to first team of Santa Amaro FC of Brazilian first division.
