About/Bio:

Jeff Joyner has been with Beach FC for six years. He has helped lead the current Beach FC 97 Academy team to; a Surf Cup final, a Disney Showcase Championship, a Vegas Showcase Championship, three SCDSL Championships, a CSL League Cup Championship, back to back Cal South National Cup Championships, two Far West Regional Titles, and three trips to the US Youth Soccer National Championships, including a National Championship in 2014. Joyner has also helped more than 30 players from two graduating Beach FC teams play in college.

Coach Joyner is also the director of the US Soccer Market Training Center for Los Angeles.

Jeff Joyner completed his tenth year at Long Beach State, and his fourth as the associate head coach. In Joyner’s ten years with the program, the Beach has claimed three Big West regular season championships and two Big West Tournament titles. He has also been a part of all four of LBSU’s NCAA Tournament teams. Four years ago, Joyner helped the Beach reach new heights as the 2011 squad won its second consecutive conference tournament and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight, the furthest that any Big West team has gone in the postseason. Long Beach State, which was 18-6-1 overall, shattered the school record for wins (18), goals (49), assists (52) and points (150). Nadia Link was named a third-team All-American and the Big West Offensive Player of the Year, while Shawna Gordon earned Big West Midfielder of the Year honors. Four other 49ers garnered all-conference recognition.

Joyner had previously spent five years as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Cal State Dominguez Hills. His first year with the men’s program resulted in an NCAA Division II National Championship, before he coached the women’s squad from 2001-04.
