Coaching Background
Over 20 years experience
Club Highlights: A focus on technical skills and possession development resulting in many of my players reaching the college ranks and state/national scouting recognition. Many tournament championships including Regional Champion and National Finalist. Currently coaching G2008.
High School: Over 15 years experience as a varsity head coach responsible for the entire girls soccer program. Bay League Championship 1999 & 2004, two-time Daily Breeze Coach of the Year. Currently head coach for Redondo High School.
Coaching Philosophy: Teach advanced skills and concepts that will enable my players to develop into exciting, creative playmakers on the field. Foster a life-long passion for the game that has brought so many positive things into my life, i.e. college education, mental toughness, confidence, health, and friendships.
Education: Undergraduate UC Berkeley: International Economics Major, English Minor. Graduate National University: Teaching Credential in English, Economics and Social Studies.
Playing Background:
Club: Played for Scotty Kay, John Gerard and Tad Bobak. U18 Club team was State Champion and Regional Finalist in 1984. ODP – Four year ODP player making Regional team twice.
High School: Four-year Varsity player, CIF Championship 1982, CIF Finalist 1983, All CIF and All Bay League selection.
College: Four-year starter Cal Berkeley, Final Four Div I finish in 1987 and 1988 losing to eventual champion North Carolina 0-1 both years, “All Cal” award senior year for athletic contribution and academic excellence.
