Olivia Goes Pro

Beach FC G03/02 midfielder Olivia Moultrie becomes the youngest American girls soccer player ever to sign a professional contract.

Her accomplishment is due not just to her remarkable talent, but also her amazing levels of commitment, dedication, and love for the game. Olivia’s passion to play, and her desire to be the best she possibly can be, are what prepared her for this opportunity. Our entire club is proud of her, and excited for the next step in her career.

“Beach was the perfect place at the perfect time,” said her dad, KC Moultrie, as he and Liv headed to Portland the day after the news broke.

“It was the people first, and the style of play second, that convinced us [to join Beach FC]. So many times in youth soccer, people make it about themselves, but it was never like that at Beach. It was always, ‘how can we help Liv get better.’ It was selfless.”

“A commitment to playing the right way — play with ideas, combine, keep the ball, all of which are fundamental principles at Beach — was big for us and made the club special,” KC added.

Olivia played for our G03 and G03/02 US Soccer Development Academy teams for longtime Beach FC coach Jeff Joyner.

“Obviously Olivia was a special talent both technically and tactically. But it’s how hard she and her family worked that took her to where she is now,” Jeff said. “She absolutely loves all aspects of the game, including training. It’s amazing to see all the hard work and sacrifice translate to a huge next step in her career.”

“I loved my time at Beach!” Olivia beamed. “It was a great environment with great coaches that absolutely helped me to become a better player. There is a great energy at the club that is encouraging, and pushes everyone to be their best. I’m truly grateful for the time I spent there.”

We will miss you, Liv! This game will continue to take you all around the world, but remember — you always have a place in the Beach FC family!
